National Superstock 1000 Championship

Championship updates for the 2017 season

MSVR in consultation with the manufactures' liaison group have agreed the following changes to the National Superstock 1000 class for 2017.

Introduction of three race concepts: Standard length race

50 (miles*) increased distance race

100 (2 x 50 miles* back to back races punctuated by a controlled, compulsory service period in pitlane to facilitate tyre changes and refueling) – half points awarded per leg.

1/2/3 Donington 100 + Standard 4/5 Brands Hatch 50 + Standard 6 Oulton Park 50 7/8 Donington (WSBK) 100 9/10 Knockhill Standard x2 11 Snetterton 50 12/13 Brands Hatch GP 100 + Standard 14 Thruxton Standard 15/16/17 Cadwell Park 100 + Standard 18 Silverstone 50 19 Oulton Park Standard 20 Brands Hatch GP 50

3 practice sessions per event

Other class revisions:

Revised technical rules allowing manufacturers kit ECU and harness (within price cap). Manufacturers without kit ECU option will be authorised series bespoke firmware

SC2 tyre mandated

Manufacturers and model championship to run parallel

Further increased visibility of manufacturer brand to aid recognition using manufacturer specific front number plate background:

Aprilia – black BMW – light blue Ducati – white Honda – red Kawasaki – green Suzuki – yellow Yamaha – dark blue

*race lengths being determined within constraints of fuel consumption
