Motorsport: Fraser only one to finish for Jones Dorling Racing
CAMERON Fraser was the only Jones Dorling Racing rider to finish at Cadwell Park.
Ashley Beech’s new Suzuki GSX-R1000 arrived two days earlier and the Vale team worked long hours to fit additional parts.
Beech had a good free practice in the British Superstock 1000 Championship in Lincolnshire, finishing 13th fastest.
He had a good start off the line in the race on qualifying 16th but after only the first lap dropped several places and suffered a complete brake failure so had to retire.
On the Yamaha 600s, Ewan Potter had a crash in the first session and was taken to medical centre for assessment on a hand injury which prevented him from competing.
Fraser was struggling with set-up and illness, qualifying 20th after a close session with improved lap times.
Serious crashes resulted in two red flags in the 600 race and Fraser struggled with clutch problems as he crossed the line in 18th.
The team must regroup for the next round at Silverstone.
