Jones Dorling Racing have announced Jordan Weaving and Ben Godfrey will join the team for the 2019 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Both Weaving and Godfrey will be lining up on Suzuki GSXR 1000s alongside the team’s current two Superstock 600 riders; Cameron Fraser and Ewan Potter, who will race Yamaha machinery.
Weaving said: “I am very pleased with the move to Jones Dorling Racing as I have had a close relationship with Chris, Tom and the whole team for many years. I know JDR are a very professional team with a great family spirit in the paddock – the perfect combination dedicated to succeed and I cannot wait to get going on my JDR Suzuki!
"I am aiming to build on what I have learnt in the Superstock 1000 class and push myself in to the top spots, something that I know myself and the team can do."
Godfrey said: “I am extremely excited to be joining Jones Dorling Racing for the 2019 season. A huge thank you to the boss Chris Jones for giving me this opportunity. We have been speaking for a couple of months about this possibility and we finally signed on the dotted line! The team come with some great support which makes this possible and I hope to put them where they all deserve to be.
“Our target is the top ten every weekend and to be challenging for the podium in this closely contended class, no easy challenge but there’s no reason we can’t do it!”
Team Principal Chris Jones said: "I would like to welcome Jordan and Ben to the team for this season. After talks for the last few months we signed the deals and our current sponsors are as excited as we are for them both coming onboard. I'm very impressed with Ben’s performances in 2018 and believe we will work together well. In testing he has proven a methodical and talented rider and will fit in well with our team.
"Jordan has had great success in the British paddock with two titles in Moto3 and Superstock 600 to his name and we hope to continue this success as he also challenges for the top spots on our JDR Suzuki.”
